Facebook is now the source of all important political announcements, says Jeb Bush

So, yesterday, Jeb Bush “announced” that he was considering running for President of the United States in 2016. He made this important “announcement” on Facebook.

Have we no sense of decorum in politics at all anymore? Do we no longer understand the importance of press releases and public announcements and press conferences?

And have we sunk so low that we’d even consider a president named “Jeb”? Really?

What bothers me most about the whole thing is that we American’s have apparently already forgotten and forgiven Bush Senior, who pulled us into Operation Desert Storm and kicked off what is the most expensive war against we don’t even know what we’re fighting about, and Bush Junior who continued the party of this unending war in the middle east that is still resulting in casualties every day and has only gotten worse thanks to all the free publicity we give the terrorists and all the money that flows into the region to feed and clothe and water our troops there. Not to mention both men are possibly the two stupidest presidents we’ve ever had in the history of the United States, and young Jeb has already proven time and time again in his political career that the apple does not fall far from the tree.

I think I’ll “announce” that I’m considering a run for president on Facebook today, throw my hat in the ring as it were, if that’s all it takes to be a player in the most important political game in the entire f**king world today. And then Chuck Todd will be on NBC saying “what it means is, nobody including myself thought That Guy In Kentucky was serious until today. Now we know he’s serious.” Because apparently nothing is more serious and official as Facebook. Which was designed originally to help boys meet girls in college and try to get laid.
